Materials

Nylon hooks are mainly used for attaching curtains to pole, rod or
track. They are ideal for all general curtain heading tapes.
Steel and Brass curtain hooks are usually used for attaching heavier
curtains to pole, rod or track. They also go well with all general
curtain heading tapes.
Steel curtain hooks are adorned with zinc plating. This in turn
increase their longevity by resisting corrosion.
Types of Curtain Hooks
Curtain hooks are usually of the following types:
- Pin-on Hooks: These hooks are meant for use with
hand-made triple pleat headings. There is a pointed or pinned end,
which is inserted into the curtain fabric.
- Sew-On Hooks: They are relatively sturdy in construction
and is mostly made of solid brass. This type of hook has an eye at
base for sewing onto hand-made curtain headings.
- Pronged Hooks: These hooks are used with pleater tape to
make pinch pleats. When the prongs are positioned into the pockets
in the tape and merged together, a pleat is formed.
