Entrance Door KnobsEntrance door knobs are basically designed for exterior doors and usually come with keyed cylinders. A design and style of entrance door knobs are varied so that they match a particular door type. They are generally round to oval in shape and are suitable for any type of door, starting from household to commercial doors.
These doorknobs are more like a handle meant for opening and closing a door. In its simplest form, they provide only a place to grab so that the door may be pulled towards and individual. Most entrance door knobs can be simply turned to operate a latching mechanism that actually keeps the door closed.

Majority of the household entrance doorknobs work on a simple mechanism with a screw-style axle that has at least one flat side, which is passed through the door latch, leaving some space exposed on each side of the door to which the knobs are attached. Usually knobs are attached on both sides by screwing them directly onto the spindle.
