Latch
hinges are very useful in doors where quick removal is required.
They make very good lid or door latches or easily removable hinges.
Doors mounted with latch hinge can be secured in place and removed as
and when required. Latch hinges are perfect for applications where there
is a limited space for swing and they also provide useful alternative to
slip joint hinges, which typically requires 90° arc to clear the
door from the cabinet frame.
Latch hinges are available in right hand and left hand options. Custom
holes or slots and special finishes are also available for latch hinges.
These hinges are also available in a wide range of assortments and
standard sizes.
Materials Used
Latch hinges are usually cast in strong and durable metals like:
- Stainless Steel
- Steel
- Brass
Steel latch hinge with a zinc finish is very common and are
available with or without holes, left and right handed. There is an
optional pin hold-back feature in latch hinges that locks pin during
assembly and removal.
For use with heavier doors and lids, heavy-duty latch hinges are
available with greater thicknesses in stainless or zinc-plated steel.
These hinges can be punched for screw, bolt or rivet installation, or
customized as per customer's specifications.
