Modular electronic door security system is designed to restrict access through a door. This system is high end equipment that is comprised of following constituents -control module, an input device and an electro-mechanical lockset. The lockset of the system is installed on a door to ensure electrical connections towards the inner side of the doors. Input device and the control module can be installed on a a customized location on the door surface. These security systems are also available with an optional override mechanism which allows entry to secured areas in cases of emergency.

Working Principle

The security system is placed in a housing. It is provided with a lockset which secure the door in a closed position. Some of the other constituents of the locksets are:

Rotative Handle: The rotative handle is supported by the housing

Clutch Mechanism: Clutch mechanism is placed between the handle and the lockset.

Key Cylinder: Key cylinder, is meant to override device towards a first position. whenever the key cylinder is removed from the recess, the device is again moved towards a second position whenever the key cylinder is removed from the recess.
