As the name suggests, remote door access system controls the locking and unlocking of the doors in which the locking and unlocking is operated from a remote location. Remote door access system is fabricated to give higher security to home, offices, hotels, apartments, sensitive buildings, government centers, industrial set up etc.

Components of the System

There are several constituents and components of remote door access system. The whole system consist of a a wireless device with a power supply, receiver, an input device, a processor, biometric sensor, memory and a transmitter. These components work in close harmony to ensure the proper working of the door access system.

Working Principle

The memory of the system consist of database. The database contains the list of regular users. Every user who are authorized to use this system have a biometric value along with a set of command options. In command option there is a command code. It is the command code which using biometric sensors receives a biometric input value.
A remote door access system can also be activated by a portable short range transmitter or by any telephone. The telephone circuitry or handset which are essentially the main components of the system are installed separately on the door so that it can be used with different means of cellular or satellite communications systems. Some of the door access system however, however, also use speech recognition system as an alternate to DTMF and/or radio frequency or infrared activation.
