Often
the door knobs cause the hole in the wall. No doubt the unsightly hole
created on the wall upset the décor of your room much to your
disliking. However you can prevent this by just mounting a spring door
stop to the baseboard to stop the door before it causes damage.
A spring door stop is basically a rigid rubber-tipped "finger"
or spring which is of specific length. At the back of the spring stop
there is a round base with protruding wood or metal screw. Spring door
stop are normally mounted at specific height from the hinged side of
the door.
Spring door stop also do not allow the doors to swing wide as to allow
them to damage the wall. Though spring door stops are visible on
baseboards but if they are mounted low their visibility get reduced.
Spring door stops consist of mounting screw which fastens to the wall
from inside the spring.
